Hey all..

Wondering if anyone knows of somewhere in Melbourne to buy Quark/Qvark, a
type of cream cheese. (makes the most incredibly yummy cheesecake)

Have looked at South melb market today where I had heard it's available but
no go. Any ideas?? Thanks

Also spelled as Quarg. What part of Melbourne?

Talk to this mob? http://www.redhillcheese.com.au/styles.html

Or, CERES, (at http://www.ceres.org.au ) and see if they have any
contacts. (Maybe they can put you in touch with the person who conducted
their cheese-making course last year.

I've found sold in tubs, in the fridges near cottage cheese, in a "normal"
supermarket etc

mind you, that's in SA

Thanks for all your feedback :)

As I work near the city I guess I'll try the Queen Vic market and see how I
go. Thanks again

Apparently it's fairly easy to make your own. There's a recipe for it in
Will Stud's book, "Chalk and Cheese", that might be worth a go.
