Post by StaycalmI have a recipe that calls for egg noodles. Are Hokkien noodles the same? Is
anything else also called egg noodles?
Hokkien noodles are round and somewhat chewy and have a very disctint
flavour. They might have egg in them, but they're aren't what you
would call "egg noodles".
Egg noodles are kind of like fettucini, but a little more delicate. A
good, cheap, local brand is "Chang's" which you should be able to find
in "the Asian section" of your local supermarket.
I've been getting them for _years_. They're great to keep in the
pantry if you want a quick, inexpensive meal.
Someone else mentioned that San Remo makes them. I've never seen them
before...unless they mean egg pasta....but then all "real" pasta has
egg in it to give it the protein....blah....
If your recipe is an "Asian" style, look for the Chang's noodles.
