I live walking distance to Woolworths on Albany Highway and want to find a
pizza place near me that has good takeaway pizza. The only place I can find
that has anything vaguely resembling pizza is Domino's (and their crap
barely even deserves to be called pizza anymore).

Any ideas would be appreciated. (even an Eagle Boys or a Pizza Haven would
do, their pizza is a LOT better than Domino's)

Have you checked out the Avanti Cafe and Pizzeria that's opposite the
Balmoral Hotel , cnr of Albany Hwy and State St ?
I remember seeing the shop there last week , never been there so I can't
comment of the pizzas.

Too far down Albany highway for me to be able to buy one and then walk all
the way home.

Have a few beers in the pub across the road first , then you won't notice
the long walk home.

Good pizza is an oxymoron.

I thought it was a dumb welder.
Well sat night and no more from Jonno the welder, I guess he found
somewhere to eat.
Used to love the Hind Quarter near Vic Park, I guess that's long gone.
Or the Como hotel(?) or the pub/tavern near the Windsor cinema.
Whereas you had to be drunk to eat pizza, you had to be drunk to pay for
a restaurant.
KFC too, seemed a lot better than now, I guess that could be down to
beer too.

You mean the Chelsea Tavern and the Chelsea Pizza shop in Nedlands ?

The Chelsea Tavern is long gone , but the Chelsea Pizza shop is still there
but has moved to the front of the shopping complex , right on Stirling Hwy.

I think there is a Pizza Hut on Albany Highway, just before it becomes
Welshpool Rd, but
it's location is not prominent.

To follow up from this, I found a REALLY nice (although expensive at $11+
for a 9" pizza) place called Brando's on Albany Highway near the huge car yard.
