:-)

But, seriously, aus.food died long ago.

After the great fight put up by Miss Leebee (IIRC) years ago, we
finally got our own newsgroup.

The good denizens of rec.food.cooking were pretty cynical about the
future of aus.food, and they have been proved right.

It would be good to see it active once more, but I'm not holding my
breath.

ObFood: Made "bacon and cabbage" again tonight, but still didn't have
enough bacon! :-)

Cheers, Phred.

It's happening to most news groups though, its not like its just
aus.food that's in decline. It's a real shame, of course, because when
it comes to food the only group that's still busy is
rec.food.cooking... which is okay, but it's U.S dominated, making a
lot of posts irrelevent to us non-USAians.

Agreed. Only two posts in aus.food since I last looked, but nearly
45000 in r.f.c

Amazing coincidence. I had that again last night and now I'm back in
Newsgroups for the first time since then!
