whats the biggest meal you've ever eaten?
Im not a big eater ...I like a couple of small meals ..when I feel
hungry. Im not a believer in 3 meals a day ...I eat when I am hungry
...not because its 5pm or whatever .

Having said that ... I have made the odd meal that was supposed to
last me a couple of days (usually work lunches etc) that have not made
it to a lunch box. Made a lemon pepper chicken about 2 weeks ago (I
normally eat a 1/4 of chicken and thats it for me) and ate the whole
thing in one sitting.

I have made curries that were ..likewise going to last a couple of
meals ...but didnt .

Lambs fry, bacon and onion and mashed spuds ...rarely makes it to a
3rd helping Likewise crumbed lambs brains .....

I love camping and cooking in the camp oven. I made a BIG pizza once
using 2 camp oven lids and it was the best pizza I have ever eaten
...and yes ... I snarfed the whole thing in one sitting. Ate it under
my Coolibah tree .... It was a lemon tree that I had hung empty
Coolibah wine casks from hehehe !

Hmm. I just went to your site, haven't combed it yet (but I will!).

I see you have essential oils... the prices seem to be extremely good? Saw
the lavender oil, it is pure essential oil?

and... do you process peanuts in your facility? do you use the equipment to
grind peanuts (or have them in any of your spice stuff)?

Must say, there's some very interesting stuff there.

Like ant, I've been looking at your site, and couldn't find a postage page.

Is there one there, or does postage only get calculated as the order is
being processed?

The website generates a postage cost with the order by number of
items. I am reviewing this though because it gets it wrong sometimes.

Yes and I can supply spec sheets for all oils. I have not done a lot
to the site recently but I have a LOT planned for the very near
future. If what you want is not on there ...please let me know as I
can usually source it !
Post by ant

NO ! No nuts around here - apart from me hehehe ! I do however get
some ingredients from other suppliers so if you have a nut or wheat
allergy please let me know so I can fully follow up thier processes
for particular products that may interest you. If I am aware of
possible nut or wheat contamination I clearly mark or make the
customer aware. It helps if the customer can make a comment when
ordering as well so I (and other suppliers) can ensure the quality and
safety of our products.

Thanks. There is a LOT more coming too. As I mentioned above , if what
you want is not listed please feel free to contact me and I will see
what I can do for you.

It's annoying when that happens.

Tonight I made this Peperonata thing, and it was unusually good, and I can
smell tomorrow's lunch sitting in the saucepan.

I'd love to find a real recipe for that. I had it once in a restaurant, but
cannot find any mention of it as a valid Italian dish.

Sliced strips of cow meat fried, with wedges of onion and long bits of
capsicum. Lots of black pepper and herbs during the cooking, and served with
a short pasta like rigatoni. I bung a bit of cream in, just to hold the
juice together, and use a bit of stock to irrigate it.

How did you do it with 2 lids? Were they top and bottom, or a sort of double
pizza dish?

How do you make your dough, incidentally?

Must be a big lemon tree? I have a weird little lemon tree under the deck
that produces one weird little lemon every year. It would probably faint if
I hung anything off it.

Bottom camp oven lid in the coals getting hot (handle side down)
whilst preparing base and toppings- Mushroom, pineapple, leg ham ,
pinch of Italian herbs and -wait for it - 1 - 2 finely chopped
anchovie fillits . Base - tomato sauce with some cajun spice mixed in
and a teaspoon of honey.
Post by ant

Just a basic damper ...nothing fancy..

Roll out your base onto the hot lid on the fire and cover with the
sauce / cajun mix. Dont let the pastry over hang the lid ...dont
forget large amounts of your favorite cheese.

Now place your other goodies on the base and then more cheese. Now put
the second (cold) lid over the top of your pizza (handle side up so
you can remove it ) and cover with very hot coals. Takes about 10 - 15
minutes and what comes out is the best pizza you ever had !

Ya cant beat cooking over an open fire I recon.

Sounds yummy indeed, I do need to buy a larger oven so with a medium size
and large will have the best of both worlds. Your can cook pizza inside the
oven but you need a rack to lift the dough of the bottom.

Lushy
Yes but I prefer the burnt / crispy bottom of the pizza you get when
done with the pastry / damper in direct contact with the hot surface.

I have 2 big ovens and a medium one that get a very regular work out.
Nothing like sitting back in the campsite eating a roast pork or lamb
with baked veggies and covered in gravy and watch others eating their
religiously cremated sausages and chops !

The camp oven makes a great slow cooker to when you know how. Stews
and curries ...MMMmmmm !
