We are thinking of partaking in a degustation menu for a bit of a birthday
treat. Has anyone ordered one? What did you like, not like about it? Did
you have the matching wines as well? What restaurant did you go to? Was it
worth it?

Thanks

I have them fairly often when I go out, maybe 1 in every 4 times. I think
they're a great way to eat, but you normally have to be pretty hungry. The
matching wines are normally fairly expensive for what you get volume wise,
but I guess you're paying for the sommelier's expertise at matching them.
If you're in Bris Vegas some of the better ones I've tried are: Restaurant
Two, Baguette(I don't think they have one at the moment though), Isis and
Gianni's...probably in that order. If you're in Toowoomba, and you
shouldn't be because it's f@#king freezing as I found out on the weekend,
then Veraison do a pretty good one too.

If you have it at a nice restaurant I'm sure you'll really enjoy the treat.

Personally, I couldn't eat that much food.

Bring your doggy bags.

Heheh, I'm not a big eater by any means, but manage without one. They're
only tiny serves of each meal, but they do add up. I like to ask for a
break after the first three or so. I normally feel like a smoke by then
anyway. :)
