In the not too distant past there have been threads in RFC on what to
have on hand in your pantry/fridge/whatever, so I thought some may be
interested in this topic I stumbled upon in the Oz ninemsn site this
evening: Fridge Audit [under the general theme "Diet"].
By the look of it, it's actually a bit of a "news" item from the
current issue of _Woman's Day_ magazine and it covers items commonly
found in the home fridge, freezer, and pantry.
The "contents" [pun unintended :-) ] page is here:
<http://womansday.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=258360>
Clicking on any one of the items will open an entry into a list
containing that item (and the related items). There's usually a brief
comment on the item; then a recommendation to "Save, switch or ditch?"
with a brief reason for the specific recommendation; and often a
suggestion for an alternative if the recommendation was "Ditch".
For example:
<quoting>
*Honey mustard cooking sauce*
High in sugar, salt and contains colours linked to
gastrointestinal problems.
Save, switch or ditch?
Ditch - Mix reduced sodium soy sauce with honey, lemon,
garlic and herbs for a flavoursome marinade or sauce.
</quoting>
Cheers, Phred.
