every time i cook them, they seem to burn on the underside too quickly. I
have used hte lowest heat, i am using a copper bottomed pan, the batter
seems to be ok, tastes quite good.

i have used lite olive oil marg as the greaser, is that where i am going
wrong? my mother suggested i am using too much of it anyway.

thoughts anyone?

Use far less wood for a lower heat.

Olive oil will often singe things easier. Try using butter or canola.

If the batter is to thick it pools in the middle , cooking slower
meaning the edges go burnt , should be almost to thin for best even
thickness.

Sometimes the gas jets installed are incorrect and they won't let you turn
the heat down low enough. But, for once in his singularly brutish way, atec
77 has made a useful suggestion.

KY?? She said PANcakes not PANTScakes!

Anyway, yeah try butter and not quite so much heat.

(Unless of course Glucose is right and you're making pants-cakes - then
lots of butter and lots of heat is just fine.)
